Another Summer behind us...onward to a great Winter!

As we wrap up another amazing Summer in Telluride and bid a "until next year" to all the Festival filled weekends, we find ourselves recaping what a great Summer this has been. It's refreshing that in todays time, just how many wonderful people in this Town come together to ensure nearly every weekend is brimming with activities and a heart warming sense of community.  Each of us at Bear Creek Lodge of Telluride, truly hope that this  Summer brought each guest an opportunity to make a memory that will never be forgotten or possibly the chance to begin a new tradition for your family. We truly enjoyed having you as our guest, and if you are someone who has not had the chance to visit us, we hope we see  you soon. Remember, it's never to late to start a new family tradition or pick up a new outdoor adventure hobby, even if it's just the art of sitting on Main Street and living in the moment while people watching.

We also would like to say a heartfelt "Thank You" to all of the wonderful, talented Festival staff members that volunteer weeks of their busy lives, to make sure that every festival weekend is a success. From the Telluride Mountain Film Festival...to the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival, which always gives us a sense that the ski season is just around the corner. We appreciate all the hard work that goes into each Summer...but now we are looking forward to a great Winter. Hope to see each of you soon!

Goodbye June...Hellllo July!

As we finish up the last week of June with the Telluride Wine Festival...we find ourselves thinking back to some of the amazing moments..and what most Telluridians would call one of the strangest Junes in some time.

The warmth of Summer was slow to arrive and once it was here, seems like Winter did not want to let go..the fairways went from brilliant green to white overnight! Fortunately the snow was short lived and melted away as quickly as it arrived.


The weather cooperated long enough to have one of the most spectacular Balloon Festivals in recent years...if you haven't seen some of the snapshots taken at Balloon Glow, check here. Breathtaking Balloons covered the sky and helped remind us that Summer truly is here.

So, as we look forward to July and some of the great specials that Telluride has for Families, we're excited about the longer days...warmer weather...and seeing the familiar faces that we miss over the winter months. With Golf, Hiking, Mountain Biking or even leisurely strolls down Main Street, there is something enjoyable for just about everyone this time of year.
